Episode 105: Doane is Done!

This episode wraps up TW Doane's Bible Myths and Their Parallels in Other Religions!  I want to thank everyone who's been listening for nearly the past 2 years, and the podcast will be continuing with a new series of works that I'll be announcing on an upcoming episode.

I also want to thank the Podunk Polymath for providing the porntastic reading of The Secret Gospel of Mark for this episode's opening.

In this episode, Doane closes the book by discussing the absolute lack of any mention of Jesus by his contemporaries, and why many of the earliest non-Biblical accounts of Jesus are likely to be forgeries.

The Great Courses lecture on the Dead Sea Scrolls

The Great Courses lecture on Gnosticism

The Great Courses lecture on Lost Christianities

Figures mentioned in the last chapter of Doane's book who I had no idea who they were:

Pomponius Mela

Quintus Curtius Rufus

Florus

Eusebius

Books that I'll be reading from in upcoming episodes (as soon as I can decide on the order to read from them):

The Ethiopian Bible

The Dead Sea Scrolls

The Nag Hammadi Library

Did Jesus Live 100 BC?

Once again, I want to thank everyone for listening for the past 2 years, and I hope you continue to listen to the podcast as Fuzznuts and I push forward.
